Tes has announced the appointment of Ali Nazarboland as Vice President of Engineering, strengthening the organisation’s leadership team as it continues to scale Tes360, its connected platform for schools and trusts.
Extensive Engineering Leadership Experience
Ali joins Tes with more than 20 years’ experience leading large-scale, multi-region engineering organisations across FinTech, Payments, Insurance, Public Sector and regulated industries. He has previously overseen global engineering teams of more than 350 engineers across EMEA, the US and APAC, with a track record of scaling engineering organisations, modernising legacy platforms and embedding high-performing delivery models aligned to business strategy.
Supporting the Growth of Tes360
In his new role, Ali will lead Tes’ engineering, supporting the continued growth and evolution of its technology. His appointment comes at a pivotal time for Tes following the launch of Tes360, a connected platform designed to help schools and trusts turn fragmented data into meaningful insight and action.
Tes360 brings together the organisation’s depth of education insight with the power of technology. As education becomes increasingly complex, schools and trusts are often challenged not by a lack of data, but by disconnected systems that prevent insights reaching the right people at the right time. Tes360 connects this information to save time and speed up decision making.
Executive Comments
Commenting on the appointment, Rod Williams, CEO of Tes, commented: “Ali brings a combination of technical expertise and leadership experience to Tes. As we continue to scale Tes360, it’s vital that we have strong engineering leadership that can combine strategic thinking with deep technical understanding. What stood out about Ali is his passion for education and the opportunity to contribute to work that has a genuine societal impact.”
Ali Nazarboland added: “Tes is entering an important phase in its journey, and the opportunity to be part of that is a major draw for me. Throughout my career I’ve worked across a variety of sectors, but being able to apply technology in a way that has a meaningful impact on education and young people is particularly rewarding. I’m looking forward to working with the team to continue building scalable, high-performing engineering capabilities that support Tes’ ambitions.”
Continued Investment in Technology and Innovation
Ali’s appointment reflects Tes’ continued investment in technology, innovation and platform development as the organisation expands the capabilities of Tes360 and its wider education ecosystem.
