Datapad, an Istanbul-based startup, has developed advanced AI Analyst Agents designed to move beyond traditional data analytics dashboards by delivering proactive and real-time KPI monitoring. The company recently announced a significant investment led by Pitchdrive, a prominent Belgian venture capital firm. Other participants in the round included e2vc, Startup Istanbul, and a group of angel investors.
The startup is helmed by seasoned entrepreneurs Cem Ruso, who previously sold Blutv to Time Warner, and Orkun Soylu, formerly of Insider. Drawing from their experiences, they identified the challenges businesses face in achieving seamless KPI visibility and fostering a truly data-driven culture with current complex analytics solutions.
“Data is rapidly growing in size and complexity, making it incredibly tough, expensive, and time-consuming for an average business to build Business Analytics capabilities,” Ruso said. “We believe we can streamline and automate a majority of this process with autonomous AI agents. We basically want to take your data and tell you what’s working and what’s not.”
Datapad’s AI agents are designed to empower human analysts and decision-makers. For instance, a startup CEO can ask specific questions on demand or assign the assistant recurring analytical tasks. These agents leverage an extensive memory of company history while incorporating real-time external factors like local holidays, competitor activities, and industry trends to deliver comprehensive insights.
“The new breed of productivity software is becoming increasingly conversational,” Soylu added. “That’s why we’re focusing on building assistants that will be able to take a ‘brief’ and act on it on a periodic basis. A CEO will be able to give a ‘task’ to the agent and receive an in-depth analysis sent to their inbox a minute later.”
Although users interact with a single chat interface, Datapad’s technology integrates a network of specialized AI agents in marketing, SEO, conversion optimization, and business strategy. Together, these agents deliver not just data analysis but strategic insights tailored to the user’s needs.
With this funding round, Datapad aims to expand its international footprint and grow its global customer base, which already includes over 100 companies.
