BeGlobe, a Zurich-based international tech PR agency, announces the 9th edition of its signature BeGlobe American Venture Party, taking place in Lisbon during Web Summit on November 10, 2026. This year’s focus is on building a bridge between global innovation and the U.S. market, which drew two-thirds of global startup funding in Q2 2026 and 83% in Q1, according to Crunchbase.
A Community That Keeps Growing
Since its first edition in 2017, the BeGlobe American Venture Party has grown from an intimate founders’ meetup into one of the most sought-after private gatherings of Web Summit week. Alongside it grew IT&VC Unicorns, BeGlobe’s community of 3,000+ founders and investors. Year after year, the party has been where founders meet their next investors, partners and press champions.
The event will be hosted at the historic 17th-century Palácio do Conde d’Óbidos, overlooking the Tagus River. More than 300 handpicked guests are expected:
- 200 early- and growth-stage founders (Pre-Series A and beyond)
- 70 VCs and LPs ($30M+ AUM), including founders of 15 unicorns
- 30 top-tier tech journalists. Past attendees include journalists from the Financial Times, The New York Times, TechCrunch, Bloomberg, Forbes, WIRED, The Wall Street Journal and more.
70% of attendees are U.S.-based. The other 30% come from Europe, mostly founders actively expanding into the U.S.
Past editions have hosted representatives of Y Combinator, Sequoia, Accel, Antler, Eurazeo, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Apple, NVIDIA, Amazon, Stripe, Revolut, Spotify, Uber, LVMH and many more, along with journalists from the world’s leading business and tech media.

Highlights & Special Projects
World Connection Day Activation by dating platform Fledge. A two-minute test, a colored ribbon, and a room full of strangers who are suddenly allowed to say hello. Guests will get a first taste of World Connection Day, a global day for meeting new people on November 21. Each guest receives a red, yellow, blue or green ribbon that signals one thing: “You can say hello to me.” The game is presented by Val Klimov, creator of World Connection Day and founder of Fledge, which is designed to help people understand compatibility before they start dating. A serial entrepreneur with 15+ years in marketing and business development, Val previously scaled a dating platform to 20 million users with $20 million in revenue.
Tetrad VC Challenge. A pitch competition hosted by Tetrad VC, which is backed by the Timashev family. It is open to AI startups with real revenue and early traction. Tracks include AI Cybersecurity, Robotics Infrastructure, Voice UI and Causal AI Agents. The winner receives a $15,000 uncapped SAFE and goes straight to the Investment Committee for a chance to raise up to $500,000.
