San Francisco, US-based UNKAPPED has launched an applied AI and go-to-market engineering firm focused on helping companies deploy AI agents and automation within their existing business systems.

The bootstrapped company works with businesses ranging from Series A startups to private equity-backed enterprises. Its engineers operate directly within client teams, connecting data, integrating AI tools and developing workflows that can be deployed in production.

Bringing AI Projects Into Production

UNKAPPED follows a forward-deployed engineering model, in which engineers work inside customers’ existing technology environments rather than developing standalone software products.

The company focuses on three service areas: forward-deployed engineering, applied AI and go-to-market engineering.

Its forward-deployed engineering services involve connecting data sources, configuring system access and permissions, and integrating AI agents into existing applications.

The applied AI practice develops AI agents and automated workflows, incorporating testing, evaluation, human oversight and governance.

Its go-to-market engineering services focus on sales and revenue operations, including identifying buyer signals, scoring accounts, routing leads and improving how sales teams use customer data.

According to the company, its teams work across sales, marketing, customer success, finance and operations, using clients’ existing cloud infrastructure, CRM platforms and data systems.

“Most companies pay for AI and data platforms they use a fraction of,” said Neeraj Kumar, Co-founder and Chief Technology and Product Officer. “The return comes from engineering: the right data, the right signals, and agents wired into the way the team actually works. Platforms don’t do that on their own.”

Targeting Startups and Enterprise Customers

UNKAPPED was founded by Sachin Jha, CEO, Neeraj Kumar, Chief Technology and Product Officer, and Lakshmi Sindhuri, Head of Enterprise Transformation.

The company targets businesses at different stages of development, from startups building their initial sales and operational processes to larger organisations integrating AI into established systems.

Each engagement begins with a go-to-market and AI readiness audit. The assessment examines the client’s existing technology, identifies operational gaps and prioritises potential improvements based on their expected business impact.

UNKAPPED’s engineers then develop and deploy the required integrations and workflows within the customer’s infrastructure, with the goal of enabling internal teams to operate the systems independently.

The company has not disclosed customer numbers, revenue figures or specific commercial deployment results in its launch announcement.
