AI startup Opply, which operates across London and Chicago, has raised $7.5 million in funding to expand its agentic AI platform for consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies. The round was led by Chalfen Ventures, with participation from Index Ventures, Anthemis, Entrepreneurs First, In This Together and Ventures Together. The investment follows a period of rapid growth, with Opply reporting a 15-fold increase in gross revenue over the past year and a 30-fold expansion of its US business since launching operations in Chicago in 2025.

Founded in 2021 by Helen Murphy, CEO, and Martin Postel, Opply develops AI-powered software designed to manage operational processes for CPG brands, initially focusing on the food and beverage industry. Its technology combines specialised AI agents, proprietary data, a supplier network and financing capabilities to help businesses manage procurement, production and supply chains.

Automating CPG Operations With Agentic AI

Opply’s platform, Opply Brain, uses specialised AI agents to manage operational workflows that traditionally require coordination across multiple suppliers, systems and service providers. The technology supports sourcing, procurement, inventory management, production planning, financing and logistics, allowing brands to manage these activities through a connected system rather than separate manual processes.

Unlike software focused primarily on analysing business data or generating recommendations, Opply’s platform is designed to execute operational tasks. Its AI agents can help businesses source suppliers, coordinate production, manage stock levels and organise deliveries, while the company’s financing capabilities support transactions across the supply chain. The approach is intended to reduce the administrative workload involved in bringing consumer products to market and managing their ongoing production.

Opply works with brands including UK drinks company Agua de Madre and US kombucha brand RMBR. According to the company, customer results have included cost reductions of up to 40% and a 12-fold return on investment over 12 months. These figures are company-reported outcomes rather than independently verified performance benchmarks.

Funding to Support International Expansion

The $7.5 million investment follows Opply’s expansion into the United States, where the company established operations in Chicago in 2025. Opply reports that its US business has grown 30-fold over the past 12 months, reflecting demand from consumer brands seeking to automate procurement and supply chain processes. The company currently operates across the UK, Europe and North America.

The new funding will support Opply’s efforts to bring its platform to more CPG businesses, from emerging consumer brands to larger international companies. Its strategy centres on expanding the use of AI agents beyond individual administrative tasks to manage interconnected operational processes, including purchasing, financing, production and distribution.

“CPG supply chains have remained fragmented and manual for far too long,” said Helen Murphy, co-founder and CEO of Opply. “By taking operational complexity out of the equation, we give ambitious brands the headroom to grow faster, invest in innovation and reach more customers.”

With the new investment, Opply plans to expand adoption of its agentic AI platform as it develops technology for automating operational workflows across the consumer goods industry.
