Isometric, the certifier for the industrial economy, today announced an investment from Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE: ICE), one of the world’s leading providers of financial market technology and data powering global capital markets.
Isometric certifies industrial claims that customers, investors, and regulators rely on but can't check for themselves. Its AI-powered platform, Certify, works alongside independent verifiers to review every data point behind a claim, not just a sample, doing in hours what used to take months. Every certificate is published on Isometric’s public Registry alongside the underlying data, calculations, and evidence. By turning unverified claims into verified assets, Isometric makes industrial output financeable, lowering the cost of capital across the economy.
Scaling AI-Powered Industrial Certification
Isometric started in carbon removal, where it has been contracted to certify over 16 million tonnes, more than any other certifier in the world. It has since expanded across industrial emissions, energy, fuels, and materials. Microsoft, Anglo American, Boeing, JPMorgan Chase, and more than 200 projects worldwide trust its certification.
Expanding Across the Industrial Economy
Demand for industrial certification is rising as the world undergoes its largest industrial build-out in decades, driven by electrification, automation, and data centers. Projects need to demonstrate they meet regulatory, safety, and sustainability standards to secure buyers, attract investment, and obtain permits. Independent certification is increasingly how facilities prove they meet high environmental standards and set themselves apart from competitors.
ICE operates the world’s largest environmental and energy markets and has spent decades building the infrastructure that global capital markets rely on. With its backing, Isometric will accelerate its expansion across the industrial economy, bringing its AI-powered certification technology together with ICE’s financial market infrastructure and data expertise.
ICE Joins Isometric’s $50M Series A
ICE has joined Isometric’s Series A, led by AVP, alongside Lowercarbon Capital, Plural, John Doerr, and Walter Kortschak. The round, initially announced in June 2026, now stands at $50 million following investment from ICE and other backers, bringing Isometric's total funding across its seed and Series A to $75 million.
Eamon Jubbawy, Chief Executive Officer of Isometric, said, “Provable output is financeable output. Our AI agents check every data point behind an industrial claim, turning it into a verified asset. ICE has spent decades building the infrastructure the world's financial markets depend on, and they're now backing Isometric to do the same for the industrial economy.”
Gordon Bennett, Managing Director of Utility Markets at ICE, said, “Two decades ago, ICE set out to make markets more transparent, accessible and resilient. Today, we’re a leading operator of energy and environmental markets, helping customers worldwide price and manage risk. Through ICE GreenTrace, we apply that same technology and expertise to environmental assets, from inception to retirement, bringing systemically important financial market infrastructure to a new asset class. We believe analogue markets can be transformed through digital infrastructure, and that the partners and platforms we back will define the next chapter of environmental markets. That belief, combined with Isometric’s approach to verification and data integrity, is what compelled us to invest.”
Other investors in the round, also being announced today, include Acario Innovation (the corporate venture arm of Tokyo Gas), BY Venture Partners, Dubai Future District Fund, Earth VC, Motion Ventures, One Capital, Plug and Play, Verb Ventures, and Legora founder Max Junestrand.
