Dublin, Ireland and London, UK-based learning technology company LearnUpon has secured a $50 million non-dilutive growth financing facility from Claret Capital Partners to accelerate the development of its AI-powered learning technology and support international expansion. The financing follows the launch of the company’s Agentic Learning Platform and will also provide capital for potential strategic acquisitions as LearnUpon looks to expand its presence in the enterprise learning market.

Developing AI-Powered Enterprise Learning

Founded in 2012 by Brendan Noud and Des Anderson, LearnUpon provides learning management software that helps organisations deliver training to employees, customers and partners. Its platform is used by companies including Waymo, Wayve and World Rugby to manage learning programmes across different teams and audiences.

LearnUpon recently introduced its Agentic Learning Platform, designed to automate administrative tasks and make corporate training more personalised. The technology allows learning and development teams to define objectives, organisational priorities and compliance requirements while AI agents manage workflows such as content curation, skills gap identification and training delivery. Developed through a multi-year research and development programme, the platform aims to reduce the operational work involved in managing enterprise learning while helping organisations adapt training to different roles, locations and business needs.

“We believe the real winner in the AI era won’t just be the fastest technology, but the organisations that best unlock human potential,” said Brendan Noud, CEO and Co-founder of LearnUpon. “This $50M facility fuels our vision to pioneer agentic learning. It gives us the financial strength to innovate aggressively, scale rapidly, and define the future of enterprise learning.”

Financing to Support Expansion and Acquisitions

The $50 million facility will provide LearnUpon with additional capital to invest in its Agentic Learning Platform, strengthen its international operations and explore acquisitions. Unlike an equity funding round, the financing is structured to support growth without requiring the company to issue new shares. LearnUpon has not disclosed the facility’s repayment terms or how much of the available capital has already been drawn.

The financing was provided by Claret Capital Partners, a European growth financing firm that has invested more than €1.5 billion through its funds since 2013, supporting over 210 small and medium-sized businesses across technology, life sciences and impact sectors.

“LearnUpon has built a strong, scaled business and is now moving quickly to capture the opportunity agentic AI is creating in corporate learning. We’re delighted to support the team as the company accelerates its organic and acquisition strategy,” said Philip Treacy, Vice President at Claret Capital Partners.

The agreement gives LearnUpon additional financial flexibility as it develops its AI learning technology and evaluates opportunities to expand its enterprise customer base through organic growth and acquisitions.
