Namespace, a developer infrastructure platform providing high-performance coding, build and test environments, has raised $42 million in funding led by Scale Venture Partners. NEA, 20VC, Essence, Burst Capital, Susa Ventures and angel investors including Datadog CEO Olivier Pomel also participated, bringing total funding to $65 million.
The investment follows eightfold revenue growth over the past 12 months and will support product development and expansion of Namespace data centres. More than 1,000 companies use the platform, including Ramp, ElevenLabs, ClassPass, Bilt, Vanta, Mapbox and Warp.
Infrastructure for AI-Powered Development
Namespace builds infrastructure designed for software development and AI coding agents across Mac, Windows and Linux. Products include Devboxes for AI coding agents, GitHub Actions infrastructure and development environments for Docker, Bazel, Turbo and Nix.
The company operates a vertically integrated infrastructure stack, including custom hardware, hypervisors and scheduling technology, with server racks deployed across global data centres.
“The use of agents in software development challenges the tradeoff assumptions made by prior generations of tooling. Namespace is the platform that can meet the demand for speed and scalability, while delivering the same reliability and security that engineers have grown accustomed to.” — Javier Redondo, Partner, Scale Venture Partners
Expanding Data Centre Capacity
The new funding will increase data centre capacity, including additional Mac hardware designed to support development and testing for iOS and macOS applications. Growing use of AI coding agents has increased demand for scalable Mac development environments.
“Namespace is the best dev infrastructure tool I've used in years. We run everything from our CI to Oz, our cloud agent platform, on Namespace, and I could not recommend it enough.” — Aloke Desai, Head of Product Engineering, Warp
