Oslo, Norway-based fintech company Neonomics has secured $4 million in new funding from existing shareholders to support its expansion in open banking payments and financial data services.

The financing follows a strategic restructuring that reduced the company’s operating cost base by almost 50% while maintaining its existing customer base and service quality.

Neonomics also reported more than 60% growth in new customer acquisition since the beginning of 2026. The company did not disclose the identities of participating shareholders or the funding round’s stage.

Expanding Open Banking and Financial Data Services

Founded in Oslo in 2017, Neonomics develops open finance infrastructure that enables businesses to access financial data, verify information and process payments.

The company is licensed by the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority and operates across the European Union.

Its services support businesses developing financial products and workflows, including consumer financial services, personal finance applications, accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Neonomics continues to develop its open banking payment services while expanding into financial data applications.

The company is increasingly focusing on helping businesses structure, enrich and interpret financial information rather than simply providing access to banking data.

“Providing access to financial data is only the starting point,” said Alfonso Muñoz, CEO of Neonomics. “The real value lies in turning that data into intelligence that improves financial products, workflows and decisions. We see significant potential here alongside the continued growth of our payments business.”

Scaling Following Strategic Restructuring

Neonomics has recently adjusted its operating structure and commercial priorities to focus on areas with stronger growth potential.

According to the company, the restructuring has reduced operating costs by almost half while preserving its existing customer relationships.

The company has also strengthened its team and increased its focus on financial data intelligence alongside its established payments business.

“We have fundamentally strengthened Neonomics, creating a more focused and efficient business with a clear direction for growth,” said Alfonso Muñoz, CEO of Neonomics. “The combination of a significantly improved cost structure, growing customer demand and continued shareholder support puts us in a strong position to execute on our strategy.”

The new funding will support Neonomics as it scales its business and develops additional applications for its financial data and payment infrastructure.

The company has not disclosed specific hiring plans, geographic expansion targets or a detailed allocation of the new capital.
