Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has opened applications for the fifth cohort of its high-intensity startup program, speedrun SR005, taking place in Los Angeles from July 28 to October 10, 2025. The deadline to apply is May 11, 2025.

What Is Speedrun?

Speedrun is a12-week IRL program for early-stage founders building at the intersection of AI, tech, and entertainment. Each accepted startup receives a $1 million investment from a16z, along with $5 million+ in credits from partners like AWS, OpenAI, NVIDIA, GCP, and Stripe.

The program focuses on helping teams go from idea to launch fast, combining access to capital with product development, go-to-market support, recruiting, and strategic guidance.

The cohort culminates in a Demo Day on October 7, where startups pitch to top investors during SF Tech Week.
