Jack & Jill, an AI-powered recruitment platform connecting candidates and employers through dedicated career and hiring agents, has raised $40 million in funding led by Air Street Capital, with participation from Creandum and Madrona.
The platform operates through two AI agents: Jack supports job seekers, while Jill works with companies. When both agents identify a potential match, the platform introduces the candidate and employer directly without a traditional job application.
Connecting Candidates and Employers With AI
Jack & Jill aims to address inefficiencies in traditional recruitment, where job boards provide scale but limited personalization, while recruiters offer individual support across a smaller number of candidates and companies.
“Candidates struggle to be seen, while employers cannot tell who is serious. More applications and better filters will not solve that. It requires a fundamentally different solution: a network brokered by agents that understand what both sides want.” - Saaras Mehan, Co-Founder and CTO, Jack & Jill
Jack currently serves 380,000 people across San Francisco, New York and London through voice-based career conversations. More than 5,000 companies use Jill for hiring, including Corgi, Ramp, Multiverse, Maze and Attio.
Scaling Agent-Based Recruitment
The $40 million investment will support further development and expansion of the agent-based recruitment model. Jack & Jill aims to replace traditional search and application processes with direct introductions based on preferences identified by AI agents on both sides of the hiring market.
“The next leap in hiring will not come from better searches over the same resumes or more automated outreach. It will come from putting an agent on both sides of the table and making the introduction only when both sides would take the call.” - Nathan Benaich, General Partner, Air Street Capital
