Treble Technologies, an Icelandic acoustic simulation company developing synthetic audio data and digital twin technology, has raised $18 million in funding to expand technology for audio-enabled devices and physical AI applications. Paladin Capital Group led the round, with participation from KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures and the European Innovation Council Fund, bringing total funding to €36 million.

The investment will support expansion across consumer and enterprise audio products and physical AI, helping device manufacturers and AI developers train and test systems across simulated real-world acoustic environments.

Expanding Sound Capabilities for Physical AI

Treble develops acoustic simulation technology for intelligent systems that need to understand voice and sound across changing environments. Applications include wearables, head-worn devices, humanoid robots and autonomous vehicles. Treble has worked with companies including Amazon and Logitech on audio development.

Using Digital Twins to Accelerate Audio Development

Treble combines physics-based acoustic simulation, digital twins and synthetic data generation to recreate rooms, vehicles, devices, materials, speakers and background noise digitally. Development teams can generate labeled datasets, evaluate product configurations and test difficult acoustic scenarios without relying entirely on physical prototypes and recording programs.

The approach can reduce testing and data collection from months to days while supporting improvements in audio AI performance and product development.

Supporting Global Expansion

The new capital will help Treble expand the platform and address growing demand for acoustic intelligence in robotics and other physical AI systems.
