e2e, an AI software testing startup with teams in Warsaw and San Francisco, has raised $8 million in seed funding to develop verification infrastructure for AI-generated software. The round included investments from Credo Ventures, KAYA, Point Nine, Baobab Ventures and Script Capital.
Angel investors include Marcin Żukowski, Co-Founder of Snowflake; Oscar Salazar, Co-Founder and former CTO of Uber; Carles Reina, the first investor in ElevenLabs; Matt Swulinski, Head of Growth at Viktor; Chad Byers, General Partner at Susa Ventures; and Emil Kowalski, who previously worked at Linear and Vercel. Additional investors were not disclosed.
Founded by Szymon Rybczak, Co-Founder and CEO, and Oskar Kwaśniewski, Co-Founder and CTO, e2e develops an open-source testing framework that helps developers verify applications built with AI coding agents. The company previously operated as TesterArmy and participated in Y Combinator before launching its new framework in October 2026.
Building Verification Infrastructure for AI-Generated Software
As AI coding agents take on more software development tasks, e2e is focusing on the testing infrastructure needed to evaluate the code they produce. Its framework combines deterministic and AI-powered testing methods, allowing developers to verify application functionality while retaining control over their testing environments.
The company initially developed TesterArmy as a closed testing platform but encountered limitations as customers integrated AI agents into their development workflows. Developers wanted to store tests alongside their application code, choose their preferred AI models and run tests locally rather than relying on a separate hosted service.
To address these requirements, e2e launched an open-source framework under the Apache 2.0 licence on October 1, 2026. It supports web and mobile applications, runs locally or through continuous integration pipelines, and allows developers to bring their own AI agents and infrastructure. The framework can be installed using the npx e2e init command, which the company says enables developers to run their first test in approximately one minute.
The product has gained early traction among developers. Within its first month, e2e surpassed 1.5 million npm downloads, accumulated more than 12,000 GitHub stars and attracted 60 external contributors. According to the company, the framework is currently receiving approximately 100,000 downloads per day.
Funding to Support Cloud Testing and Product Expansion
The $8 million seed round will support e2e’s development of a broader software verification platform, beginning with infrastructure designed specifically for AI-assisted development workflows.
In 2027, the company plans to launch e2e Cloud, allowing development teams to run automated tests across different cloud infrastructure, AI models and devices. Additional tools are planned to address other stages of software verification as AI agents become more involved in building and maintaining applications.
The company also plans to expand its team in Warsaw and San Francisco as it develops the platform.
The transition from TesterArmy to e2e reflects the company’s move toward an open-source development model. Existing TesterArmy customers will retain access to the original platform until January 15, 2027, with migration support available for teams moving their tests to the new framework.
With the new funding, e2e is positioning software verification as a core component of AI-assisted development, aiming to help teams validate applications as coding agents take on a growing share of software engineering work.
