Hamburg, Germany-based energy technology company Rabot Energy has announced a €50 million Series B financing round to expand its smart energy platform and develop a network of connected household batteries.
The round was led by growth investor Endeit, with participation from DeepTech & Climate Fonds (DTCF). Existing investors HV Capital, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Bosch Ventures, CNI, Acurio Ventures and vent.io also participated.
The financing will support Rabot Energy’s expansion in Germany, further development of its technology platform and integration of additional energy devices.
Connecting Household Batteries Into a Virtual Power Plant
Rabot Energy provides dynamic electricity tariffs that allow customers to benefit from changes in wholesale electricity prices.
Its technology helps households and businesses shift electricity consumption toward periods when power is cheaper and renewable generation is more abundant.
In June 2026, the company introduced Rabot Flow, a solution combining a dynamic electricity tariff, smart meter and plug-and-play battery storage system.
According to Rabot Energy, the system can reduce electricity costs for an average household by approximately 15%. The battery can be connected to a standard electrical outlet and does not require customers to own rooftop solar panels.
The company now plans to connect individual household batteries into a virtual power plant, allowing distributed storage systems to operate collectively and provide flexibility to the electricity grid.
By coordinating when batteries charge and discharge, the platform aims to shift demand away from peak periods and make greater use of renewable electricity.
“The next generation of power plants will not be built, but interconnected. Millions of households hold enormous, largely untapped potential: not only to consume energy, but to integrate it intelligently into the overall system. With the Series B, we are turning individual households into a network that stabilises the electricity system, accelerates the energy transition and significantly reduces our customers’ electricity bills,” said Jan Rabe, CEO of Rabot Energy.

Scaling Beyond 200,000 Customers
Rabot Energy reports that it has acquired more than 200,000 customers over three and a half years, including approximately 15,000 commercial and industrial customers.
The company has reached €200 million in revenue and currently supplies more than 600 million kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity to its customer base.
According to Rabot Energy, its customers saved approximately €45 million in 2025 compared with the prices charged by their respective default electricity suppliers.
The new financing will support the company’s goal of reaching one million customers and expanding its energy management services for households, commercial businesses and industrial users.
Rabot Energy also plans to integrate additional devices into its platform, including home battery storage systems, electric vehicle charging equipment and heat pumps.
The company aims to coordinate these technologies through a single energy management system, allowing customers to adjust electricity consumption and storage based on market conditions.
