Cymphony, an AI security platform built to protect sensitive enterprise data as AI tools and agents gain broader system access, has launched with $30 million in funding led by Sequoia and Fin Capital. The platform combines data, identity and behavioral intelligence to help security teams identify and reduce access risks across enterprise environments.
Securing the AI Workforce
Growing adoption of AI tools connected to systems such as SharePoint, Box, Snowflake and Salesforce is creating new security challenges. AI applications, machines and agents can continuously interact with sensitive information, increasing the importance of identifying excessive or unintended access before data becomes exposed.
One early Cymphony customer discovered the risk after connecting ChatGPT to SharePoint, which allowed company interns to query documents related to a sensitive litigation process because of an access configuration mistake.
The customer described the need for a different approach: “I want to shift the conversation from tools to actual work.”

Cymphony is designed as an AI security solution for the emerging workforce of employees, machines and AI agents. The platform brings data, identity and behavior into a unified context graph, allowing security teams to understand risky access and address exposure rather than relying on additional standalone scanning tools.
The platform focuses on supporting AI security projects from risk identification through implementation, helping enterprises protect sensitive information while adopting AI technologies.
