DOD Solution, an Estonian-Ukrainian defence technology company developing onboard AI autonomy for unmanned systems, has raised $2.1 million in funding to accelerate development and production of the AURA AI platform.
The round includes Angel One Fund, Better Angle, Defence Builder Fund, Network VC, Newfund, UAID Fund, WildField Ventures, 4C-Next Holding AG and several angel investors. Canadian drone technology company Draganfly joined as a strategic investor.
Building Autonomous Systems for Challenging Environments
AURA AI combines the AURA SBC onboard computer with AURA OS, an autonomy software stack supporting navigation, perception, target recognition and tracking, and terminal guidance when GPS or communications are degraded or unavailable.
The platform supports integration across FPV drones, interceptor drones and fixed-wing UAVs. AURA AI has already been deployed in Ukraine.

Scaling Production and International Expansion
The funding will support production of the next-generation AURA SBC, further development of AURA OS and onboard AI capabilities, and additional integrations with unmanned platform manufacturers.
DOD Solution is also developing the next AURA SBC for larger-scale production and aims to meet NDAA compliance requirements as part of expansion into European and North American markets.
Expanding Technology Partnerships
DOD Solution has established partnerships with Lantronix, Axelera AI and Defsecintel Solutions across onboard computing, AI acceleration and integrated counter-drone technology. The collaborations support broader integration of AURA AI across different unmanned platforms.
