Key Takeaways:

  • Assured raised $19M led by Insight Partners.
  • The platform serves 100+ healthcare organizations.
  • Funding will support product and team expansion.

Assured, an AI-native platform automating healthcare provider operations, raised $19 million in Series A funding led by Insight Partners, with continued participation from First Round Capital and Kindred Ventures. The funding will support expansion beyond credentialing and payer enrollment into additional provider back-office workflows, including privileging, alongside growth across engineering, product and go-to-market teams.

Automating Provider Operations

Assured uses AI agents to perform credentialing and payer enrollment rather than only tracking workflows. The platform verifies provider information across more than 2,000 primary sources, prepares applications based on state and payer requirements, and identifies missing information before delays occur.

More than 100 healthcare organizations use Assured, including Houston Methodist, Tono Health, Blossom Health and Birches Health. The platform enables credentialing within days and can accelerate in-network enrollment by 30%. Assured also operates as an NCQA-certified Credentials Verification Organization.

"Across healthcare, provider credentialing and enrollment remain some of the most painful and expensive parts of scaling," said Teddie Wardi, Managing Director at Insight Partners. "Assured is the first platform we have seen that performs the work itself, not just tracks it. That shift is why we led this round."

Supporting Healthcare Expansion

Tono Health used Assured to process more than 100 applications simultaneously after payer enrollment delays affected expansion. The virtual-first dermatology provider now operates across 32 states.

"We went from not having any contracts to getting contracts done within one month," said Bryson Tombridge, CEO and Co-founder of Tono Health. "It completely catalyzed our business and gave us hope that our business model was actually scalable."

The new capital will support Assured’s expansion into additional healthcare provider operations, beginning with privileging, while strengthening product development and commercial growth.
