Exobiosphere, a space biotechnology company developing microgravity-based drug discovery and biomedical research technologies, secured €1 million in non-dilutive funding through Luxembourg’s Jeune Entreprise Innovante (JEI) aid, administered by the Ministry of the Economy. The funding will support commercial expansion, international business development and scaling of Exobiosphere’s orbital high-throughput screening platform.
Scaling Space-Based Drug Discovery
Exobiosphere uses microgravity environments to support drug discovery and biomedical research through a proprietary orbital screening platform. The JEI funding will help strengthen operations, expand marketing and business development activities, and bring the technology to more pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners globally.
"This grant lands at exactly the right moment and makes a real difference for a company at our stage. It allows us to expand our commercial activities, strengthen our team, and bring our technological offer to more pharmaceutical and biotech partners around the world. We're grateful for the continued support of the Luxembourg innovation ecosystem and Ministry of Economy." said Kyle Acierno, CEO and Co-Founder of Exobiosphere.
Supporting International Expansion
The JEI program provides non-dilutive support to young, research-intensive companies with strong growth potential. Exobiosphere received the aid following an innovation certification from Luxinnovation.
The €1 million funding will help expand Exobiosphere’s international presence while accelerating commercialization of space-based biotechnology solutions.
