kausable, a European frontier AI startup developing reasoning-first artificial intelligence, raised €12 million in seed funding led by UVC Partners and Entourage, with participation from HTGF, Mätch VC and AI industry angel investors. The funding will expand the team and accelerate development of AI models that adapt to changing environments without continuous retraining.
Building Adaptive Frontier AI
Founded by researchers from Heidelberg University, kausable develops AI systems designed to learn through reasoning rather than repeated retraining. The technology targets dynamic industries including robotics, energy, finance and healthcare by improving adaptability and reducing training costs.
“The world evolves rapidly, and so should AI. However, even the most capable current AI systems are very static in how they interpret the world and need constant, time-consuming, and costly retraining. With kausable we solve this problem by developing a new kind of world model that learns efficiently and robustly on its own and adapts to the ever-changing world. This offers huge opportunities across highly dynamic domains, such as robotics, the energy sector, and finance. We’re proud and excited about our seed funding from our European investors UVC Partners, Entourage, HTGF, and Mätch VC; which also showcases at a crucial time that Europe can and should build and support frontier AI”, states Johannes Haux, CEO & Co-Founder kausable.
Expanding European AI Research
The company recently introduced TipPFN, a forecasting model for complex systems capable of predicting rare, high-impact events. The new investment will support research, product development and hiring as kausable advances sovereign AI technologies built in Europe.
