Kovant, a Stockholm-based autonomous enterprise platform enabling businesses to deploy and manage AI agent workforces across entire operations, announced €1.5M in pre-seed funding as it launches globally, making the platform immediately available to enterprises of all sizes and markets. The funding round was led by J12 Ventures, with participation from Ampli, Greens Ventures, and angel investors including Sara Öhrvall, Emmanuel Martin-Chave, and other industry leaders, who will also join the Kovant board.
Founded by industry veterans from Spotify and Bosch, with a team from Meta, Amazon, and Google, Kovant is led by serial entrepreneur Ali Sarrafi, previously responsible for AI initiatives at Spotify and scaling an AI company that transformed Nordic enterprises such as Ericsson, H&M, SAS, and SEB. Since its founding a year ago, Kovant captured €1 million in revenue while in stealth and secured large enterprise customers across the Nordic industrial and manufacturing sector. The funding will support expansion into the Nordics, Switzerland, and the Benelux region, advancing Kovant’s vision of agentic-first enterprises where AI teams execute business functions end-to-end with governance, compliance, and human oversight.
Unlike copilots or single-purpose bots, Kovant delivers managed AI workforces — specialized agents autonomously handling procurement, supply chain, inventory management, compliance, and customer success. Current deployments reduce month-long processes to 1-2 day autonomous executions while maintaining human oversight. The platform leverages a novel architecture using Small Language Models (SLMs), reducing hallucinations and errors, with each agent operating within defined guardrails for accuracy, auditability, and compliance. Kovant’s teams launch in weeks, run continuously, learn over time, and escalate tasks only when human input is required.
“There’s this idea that big enterprises can’t make AI deliver real value without undertaking massive transformation projects. But that’s just not true. Too often, AI is used in ways that strip the human element out of work. We’ve flipped that. We’re pioneering a system where AI handles the execution so people can focus on what actually needs human judgment. What matters to us is real P&L impact, not building more agents or running endless POCs. Something that can be achieved in weeks, not months. This funding and our global launch are about taking that approach to a wider scale and showing that enterprises can and do get genuine, measurable results from AI,” said Ali Sarrafi, CEO and Co-Founder of Kovant.
