Malachyte, an AI infrastructure company developing real-time behavior intelligence for digital commerce, has raised $10 million in seed funding co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Gradient Ventures, with participation from Harpoon Ventures. Founded by former Spotify personalization leaders, Malachyte builds technology that helps brands understand shopper intent and adapt search, recommendations and product discovery in real time.
Real-Time Personalization Infrastructure
Malachyte's behavior intelligence technology analyzes live signals such as clicks, comparisons and browsing activity rather than relying primarily on historical purchases or predefined personalization rules. Continuous learning infrastructure allows models to update predictions in real time without traditional batch retraining.
The platform supports search, recommendations and product pages, providing brands and retailers with a shared intelligence layer designed to understand changing customer intent. The technology is based on personalization approaches developed by the founding team while working on recommendation and discovery systems at Spotify.
Building for Modern Commerce
Malachyte was founded by former Spotify executives with experience building personalization technology at global scale, alongside Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Shivaditya Sinha. The founding team includes AI specialists with backgrounds in consumer behavior, machine learning and large-scale commerce.
The $10 million investment will support development of Malachyte's behavior intelligence infrastructure and broader adoption among brands and retailers seeking real-time personalization. The platform aims to improve product discovery without depending on third-party cookies, extensive customer histories or manual personalization rules.
