Mem0, a company building memory infrastructure for AI, announced a $24 million funding raise across Seed and Series A rounds. The Seed round was led by Kindred Ventures, and the Series A round was led by Basis Set Ventures, with participation from Peak XV Partners, GitHub Fund, and Y Combinator. The investor group also includes industry leaders such as Scott Belsky, Dharmesh Shah, and the CEOs of Datadog, Supabase, PostHog, ex-GitHub, and Weights & Biases.
AI systems today can write complex software, analyze massive documents, and solve advanced problems, yet remain limited by a lack of true memory. Most interactions restart from zero, forcing repetitive context inputs and preventing lasting personalization. Mem0 addresses this core issue by enabling developers to embed scalable, intelligent memory into AI systems with only three lines of code.
Memory in AI applications often appears simple to build but proves difficult in practice. Context retrieval fails, new data conflicts with old, and stale or duplicate information accumulates over time. Engineering solutions to these problems consumes months of development effort. Mem0 provides production-grade memory infrastructure that automatically handles context extraction, categorization, decay, and confidence scoring while updating and retrieving relevant memories efficiently.
Since launch, Mem0 has achieved over 41,000 GitHub stars, 14 million Python downloads, and exponential API growth from 35 million calls in Q1 to 186 million in Q3. Thousands of organizations — from startups to Fortune 500 companies — use Mem0 in production. Prominent AI frameworks including CrewAI, Flowise, and Langflow integrate the system natively, and AWS has selected Mem0 as the exclusive memory provider for its Agent SDK.
The company defines its roadmap through three principles:
Make It Work – Every agentic application requires reliable memory to enable software that understands users and adapts over time.
Make It Neutral – A single, model-agnostic memory layer that functions across all frameworks and platforms without vendor lock-in.
Make It Portable – A unified memory system that allows user context to move freely across applications, reducing friction and preserving accumulated knowledge.
Mem0 continues building foundational infrastructure for AI systems capable of learning, adapting, and retaining knowledge across applications — powering the next generation of intelligent software.
