Nullspace, a deep tech company developing advanced electromagnetic simulation software, announced the completion of a $2.5 million seed funding round led by Fathom Fund, with additional participation from Golden Seeds LLC and strategic angel investors. The funding will support the expansion of the engineering team, accelerate product development, and scale go-to-market initiatives to meet growing demand in aerospace, defense, quantum computing, and AI-enabled hardware markets.

The demand for radio frequency (RF) performance is rapidly increasing amid 5G deployment, AI chip development, and electronic warfare. Simultaneously, the emerging quantum computing market presents significant growth potential as commercialization efforts intensify. Nullspace provides enterprise simulation software designed to address high-growth, high-barrier industries, delivering tools for next-generation RF systems and quantum computing hardware.

"At Fathom, we seek out companies that combine deep technical moats with clear paths to market dominance, and Nullspace is a great example of that,” said Dr. Paul Sheng, managing partner at Fathom Fund. “The founders' PhD-level engineering backgrounds, combined with their extensive operational track records, have enabled them to build software solutions with an extraordinary level of maturity. Nullspace is delivering much-needed modern physics simulation tools that customers are welcoming with open arms. In rapidly evolving markets like 5G, quantum computing, and spectrum management, this head start is invaluable.”

Nullspace addresses critical design bottlenecks created by legacy simulation software in modern connected technology sectors. The flagship product, Nullspace EM, enables simulation of larger and more complex designs with full-fidelity accuracy and speed. In addition, Nullspace ES provides the world’s only commercial tool for design and analysis of extremely large ion traps, supporting quantum computing architecture development.

With a foundation built on more than a decade of development at IERUS Technologies, Nullspace leverages modern numerical methods to deliver U.S.-based enterprise RF simulation solutions. The core technology has been rigorously tested on real-world antenna, microwave, scattering, and ion-trap projects, including physical products delivered to the U.S. Department of Defense, enabling dual-use applications in military and commercial programs.
