Pit, an AI-native enterprise operations platform replacing spreadsheets and legacy SaaS workflows with custom-built AI software, announced its public launch alongside a $16 million funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The round also included participation from Lakestar, executives from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Deel, and Revolut, as well as the Stena and Lundin families.
The company launched with a model described as an “AI product team as a service,” enabling enterprises to build and deploy operational software tailored to internal workflows.
Replacing Legacy Enterprise Operations
Pit addresses fragmented enterprise processes traditionally managed through spreadsheets, email chains, and rigid SaaS platforms. The company develops AI-native systems customized for operational, financial, and customer-facing workflows.
“For 20 years, enterprises have rented software that forces them to operate around it. With AI, that ends. For the first time, every company can run on systems they actually designed themselves,” said Adam Jafer, CEO and co-founder of Pit.
The platform consists of Pit Studio, which learns operational workflows and generates custom systems, and Pit Cloud, which provides enterprise-grade infrastructure with governance, tenant isolation, ISO 27001 compliance, SSO, RBAC, and audit observability.
Enterprise Adoption and Results
Pit is already deployed across enterprise pilots in logistics, telecom, healthcare, and e-commerce, including implementations with Voi, Tre, Stena Recycling, and Kry.
Reported outcomes include an 85% reduction in campaign execution time, over 10,000 hours saved annually per deployment, and invoice automation achieving 99% acceptance rates.
At a major European industrial company, Pit replaced legacy contract and invoice validation workflows with an AI-powered system operating in real time and eliminating validation errors.
“Every AI company is selling speed. Pit is selling speed that holds up for years, secure, governed, and built to last. It’s a new category,” said Alex Rampell, General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz.
Founding Team and Vision
Pit was founded by former leaders and AI specialists from Voi, Klarna, and iZettle, who previously developed AI-driven operational systems at scale within large enterprises.
The company plans to use the funding to expand deployments, strengthen enterprise infrastructure, and accelerate adoption of AI-native operational software across industries.
