Rail-Flow, a European transport management innovator for rail freight and intermodal logistics, announced the closing of a €12.5M Series A round led by Trill Impact and Bonsai Partners, with participation from Climentum Capital, several angels, and existing investors Rethink Ventures and Futury Capital. Rail-Flow strengthens its capital base to accelerate AI-driven product development, expand international reach, and scale digital infrastructure designed to shift more freight to rail through efficient, transparent, and automated workflows.

Rail-Flow operates as an ERP layer for rail logistics, digitizing sales, procurement, contract handling, order and transport management, invoicing, and marketplace-based procurement. The platform increases transparency and ecosystem collaboration while enabling railway undertakings, intermodal operators, freight forwarders, and shippers to manage operations end to end.

Rail-Flow focuses efforts on three pillars: expansion of AI intelligence for fewer manual interventions, real-time operational insights, predictive issue detection, and automated task orchestration, entry into additional European and non-European markets with local integrations; and reinforced team capacity for enterprise-scale implementations. These initiatives aim to strengthen network effects, improve scalability, and broaden integration capabilities.

Rail-Flow accelerates product development and increases service reliability while building a stronger international footprint. Customers receive predictable platform evolution, higher operational stability, and reduced day-to-day workload, supporting Rail-Flow’s mission of advancing digital rail logistics and enabling measurable CO₂ reduction through modal shift.

Rail-Flow has doubled revenues annually, expanded intermodal capabilities through the Simply Deliver merger, and grown to 170 employees. “This financing round marks the start of a new growth phase powered by AI innovation and international expansion — with the goal of making rail freight more efficient, transparent, and sustainable,” said Dominik Fürste, Co-CEO and Co-Founder. “With native AI, we are taking our transport management platform to the next level: orchestrating workflows, anticipating decisions, and automating routines,” added Osman Akdemir, Co-CEO and Co-Founder.

We have delivered reliably in recent years — the confidence of international investors confirms the enormous potential in a market that has catching-up to do and is ready for transformation,” noted CFO Marcel Hoeke. “Rail-Flow is at the forefront of modernizing European rail logistics,” said Advisory Board Chairman Alexander Hedderich. “Rail-Flow sets a new standard for digital efficiency in rail logistics — and makes a direct contribution to Europe’s climate and sustainability goals,” added Jaime Ruiz Anton, Principal at Bonsai Partners.
