Resolv, an AI-native software and services company that automates back-office operations for home services contractors, announced it has raised $1 million in pre-seed funding. The round was co-led by Redbud VC and EquipmentShare, with participation from Fireroad Ventures and Team Ignite Ventures, along with continued support from Pre-Seed to Succeed, backed by I2BF Global Ventures, Smart Partnership Capital, AltaIR Capital, and Yellow Rocks.
The U.S. home services industry generates more than $650 billion in annual revenue, powered by millions of independent HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors. Yet these businesses face a growing administrative burden that threatens their ability to compete. Thousands of incentive programs exist across utility, local, state, and federal providers, with tens of billions of dollars available every year. But the process of actually claiming that money is notoriously complex: fragmented programs, shifting eligibility rules, and mountains of paperwork mean most contractors simply opt out.
Automating Rebates and Operations
Resolv eliminates this burden, enabling contractors to sell more jobs, close at higher rates, and grow their businesses without adding back-office staff. The company’s platform automates the process of identifying, filing, and tracking rebates on behalf of contractors, turning what was once a constant operational headache into a seamless, hands-off experience. Resolv integrates directly with ServiceTitan and Housecall Pro, so contractors never have to leave the tools they already use. The company also offers upfront rebate financing, so contractors get paid immediately rather than waiting months for program reimbursement.
Early Traction and Expansion Plans
The results have been immediate. In 2025, its first year of operations, Resolv secured approximately $10 million in rebates for nearly 100 contractors in California. The company is now expanding into permits, warranty registrations, and beyond, building a single AI-native platform that runs the contractor back-office end to end.
“We built Resolv because we spent years watching contractors lose time and money to paperwork that should have been automated a long time ago," said Sam Ruderman, Co-Founder and CEO of Resolv. “Our platform gives contractors the back-office firepower to grow revenue and expand operations while we handle the rest.”
“The majority of rebates in this country go unclaimed because the process is broken, not because contractors don’t want the money,” said Brett Calhoun, Managing Partner at Redbud VC. “Resolv meets contractors where they are, removes the work they already hate, and transforms rebates from a burden into a powerful, automated sales lever. Securing $10 million in rebates in year one proves this isn’t a concept; it’s a product that delivers.”
