Sprouty Secures $550K to Expand AI-Powered Parenting Assistant

Sprouty, the AI-powered parenting assistant helping moms and dads navigate the first years of their child’s life with science-backed, personalized guidance, has raised $550k in a seed round from AltaIR Capital. The funding will accelerate Sprouty’s growth, expand into new markets, and strengthen its mission to offer parents reliable, empathetic support from birth to age two.

Parenting stress is a global reality, and parental burnout has been observed across many countries. A 42-country survey found that in more individualistic societies, where extended-family support is less common (e.g. the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, Canada, the United States, etc.), parental burnout is higher on average. These pressures intensify in the first years of parenting, when disrupted sleep, new parental responsibilities, and work-family demands make daily life even more challenging. That’s why parents look for solutions that reduce uncertainty and lighten their day-to-day load.

Sprouty was built with that goal in mind. The app provides parents with clear, trustworthy insights about their baby’s development, personalized recommendations, and daily micro-exercises designed by pediatricians. The app reduces mental load by combining everything parents need — tracking feeding, sleep, diapers, routines, evidence-based articles, and milestone guidance — in one warm, supportive experience. One of Sprouty’s features uses AI to predict the likely reason for a baby’s crying with more than 80% accuracy.

“When my daughter was born, everything became incredibly overwhelming. We were away from family, exhausted, and constantly searching for reliable answers. But every tool we tried only solved a small part of the problem,” says Co-founder and CEO Dmitry Rumbeshta. “To cover our needs, we would have needed several apps, a few services, and hours of Googling to piece everything together. So I built a small app for us. It was not a startup back then, it was just a tool for personal use to stay afloat. Early on, we built Sprouty using free technologies that worked for a small number of users. When installs surged, those tools hit their limits, and many parents couldn’t log in. When users began writing frustrated reviews, we realized this wasn’t just our problem. Parents everywhere were looking for the same support.”

Today, Sprouty is used by 1.7 million families  across Europe, North America, Australia, and Latin America, growing organically. Sprouty will use the seed funding to expand its global presence, strengthen its user acquisition engine, and extend its product offering to support children from birth to age three.

“The parenting market renews itself every day — every moment, someone becomes a parent for the first time,” says Rumbeshta. “Our focus is to make sure the new parents stepping into this journey can easily find trustworthy support.”

“Sprouty is addressing a real and universal problem for parents, and the market they operate in is enormous. AI is opening a new wave of opportunity in consumer products where personalization drives much higher usefulness, increases stickiness, and significantly improves unit economics. Above all, Sprouty has a highly motivated, deeply committed team that built a great product and has a clear roadmap for where to go next,” says Igor Ryabenkiy, Founder and Managing Partner, AltaIR Capital.
