Otel AI, a hospitality tech startup building AI co-workers for hotel operations, announced €2.8 million in funding to scale its platform and expand internationally. The round was led by Playfair, with participation from Nebular and angel investors including Paul Forster. The capital will support product development and growth across the UK, Europe, the US, and the UAE.
Solving Fragmented Hotel Operations
Hotel teams rely on multiple disconnected systems, requiring manual data analysis and slowing decision-making. Otel AI creates a unified operational layer, securely connecting existing tools with ISO 27001 certification and GDPR compliance.
AI Co-Worker for Daily Tasks
Otel AI automates workflows by retrieving, analyzing, and executing tasks across systems. Teams define tasks in plain language, while automated “Flows” deliver outputs like reports and alerts directly, reducing manual work while keeping control with teams.
The platform is already used by hotels in Ireland and the UK, showing improved efficiency and performance. At The Alex Hotel in Dublin, RevPAR increased by 8.6% within three months without additional staff.
Scaling and Expansion
Funding will support team growth, product expansion, and entry into new markets.
“Every general manager I speak to tells me the same thing — they walk in every morning, open six or seven systems, and spend the first hour just trying to understand how their hotel is doing. By the time they have the picture, the morning is gone. We built Otel so that when a GM walks in, the picture is already there. The problems are flagged. The work is done. They walk into decisions, not data.” — Paul Ryan, CEO and Co-Founder, Otel AI
