Timefold, a developer platform providing APIs for vehicle routing and workforce scheduling, has raised $13 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Alstin Capital, with participation from Kompas VC and existing investors Lakestar and Smartfin. The investment will support U.S. expansion and continued growth of the company’s scheduling optimization platform.
Expanding AI-Powered Scheduling
Timefold enables software teams to integrate enterprise-grade scheduling optimization into field service and workforce management applications. The platform helps organizations automate complex scheduling decisions, including technician assignments, shift planning, and real-time operational changes.
The company reported fourfold annual recurring revenue growth in 2025 as more enterprises and software vendors adopted its APIs for mission-critical operations.
"Schedules run the world," says Maarten Vandenbroucke, CEO of Timefold. "We are all at the mercy of a schedule, and so are the millions of frontline workers whose days depend on getting it right. As software becomes increasingly autonomous, optimization becomes foundational infrastructure. That’s why we believe Timefold is the best vehicle routing scheduler. Our platform gives software builders the ability to embed enterprise-grade decision intelligence into their applications, enabling better outcomes for businesses, workers, and customers alike."
Enterprise Adoption
Timefold combines AI with deterministic optimization algorithms to deliver reliable scheduling at scale. Enterprise customers including NEC Software Solutions, CBRE, Orange Telecom, ADP, and Lufthansa use the platform to improve workforce productivity, reduce operational costs, and optimize routing and shift scheduling.
A global real estate company reduced drive time by up to 33% and eliminated overtime using Timefold’s routing solution, while a U.S. staffing provider reduced shift scheduling from 10 weeks to 10 minutes.
“We chose Timefold because it gave us a practical way to bring advanced planning AI into real operations without slowing down delivery,” says Kay Aston of NECSWS. “Their technology helped us move faster, create clear operational value, and strengthen how we bring optimization capabilities to our customer base.”
Scaling the Platform
The new funding will accelerate product development and expand the platform as demand grows for AI-powered scheduling infrastructure across enterprise software.
