Tower, a developer platform building production infrastructure for modern Python-based data engineering, announced $6.4M in funding from DIG Ventures, Speedinvest, Flyer One Ventures, Roosh Ventures, Celero Ventures, Angel Invest, and several angel investors including MotherDuck CEO Jordan Tigani, Datadog CEO Olivier Pomel, former Harvey.ai VP of Engineering Ben Liebald, and Taktile CEO Maik Taro Wehmeyer. Funding will support development of infrastructure designed for AI-assisted data engineering and modern Python data applications.
Python Data Platform
Tower provides a platform that enables engineers to move Python data applications from development to production. The system includes orchestration, execution compute, and analytical storage, allowing teams to run data pipelines, notebooks, dashboards, and APIs while the platform manages deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
Modern data engineering increasingly relies on Python tools such as Polars, dbt, dlt, LangChain, and AI frameworks. Tower simplifies production infrastructure so existing Python code can run as reliable data systems without complex platform setup.
Open Infrastructure
Tower is built on open technologies and supports Apache Iceberg-based analytical storage while integrating with platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks. The platform targets organizations seeking a simpler alternative to traditional big data infrastructure.
Tower currently operates with a global team of 12 and continues expanding engineering and go-to-market roles across Europe and the United States.
