Amandipp Singh, awardee and founder of Enabled Talent, was recognized for outstanding contributions to humanitarian work at the prestigious Y Media Awards, held in Brampton this past week.
The event brought together honourable ministers, mayors, MPs, MPPs, respected public servants, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists - a room full of community leaders and changemakers. Against this backdrop, Amandipp Singh was celebrated for a commitment to building one of the world’s most inclusive talent platforms, creating pathways for individuals who are often overlooked or underserved in the workforce.
Globally, more than 1 billion people live with some form of disability, and many continue to face systemic barriers to employment, education, and participation. In Canada alone, about 27% of Canadians aged 15 and older — nearly 8 million people — live with one or more disabilities. Among working-age adults (25–64), employment rates remain significantly lower for persons with disabilities (62%) compared to those without (78%). Many also report unmet accommodation needs in the workplace, which further limits equal opportunity.
Enabled Talent was founded to address these gaps creating a global job bank and inclusive talent pool that ensures everyone has a fair chance to contribute their skills, regardless of barriers.
Reflecting on the evening, Amandipp Singh said: “It was humbling to stand on that stage, in front of so many leaders and familiar faces. Recognition like this reminds me why the work matters — not for applause, but to keep building, keep learning, and keep serving. This journey is still unfolding, and I carry it forward with gratitude, seeking more guidance and wisdom to continue on this path.”
On behalf of Enabled Talent, Jeby James, co-founder, shared: “This award is a reflection of the values we hold at Enabled Talent — inclusivity, persistence, and creating platforms that empower people. Amandipp’s journey shows what is possible when you combine vision with relentless dedication. We are proud of this recognition, but even more excited for the work ahead as we continue to build a future where every individual has a seat at the table.”
The evening served as a reminder that true progress is built not only on innovation, but also on humanity — and the ability to lift others as we move forward.
