Key Takeaways:

  • Decade raised an $85M seed round to expand its AI wealth platform.
  • AI and human advisors deliver personalized financial guidance.
  • Former Nubank leaders aim to broaden access to wealth management.

Decade, a Brazil-based AI-native wealth advisory startup, has emerged from stealth with an $85 million seed round led by Greenoaks, Benchmark, and Diffusion. The financing represents the largest seed investment raised by a Latin American startup and will support the development of an AI-powered wealth advisory platform designed to make personalized financial guidance accessible at scale.

AI-Powered Wealth Management

Founded by former Nubank executives Vitor Olivier and Felipe Meneses, Decade combines experienced financial advisors with proprietary AI models that continuously analyze spending, investments, and financial goals. The platform is designed to provide clients with personalized recommendations previously available only to high-net-worth individuals through dedicated advisory teams.

"A decade ago, Brazilians paid some of the highest banking fees in the world," said Neil Mehta, founder of Greenoaks. "Nubank changed that for tens of millions of people, but investing never got its turn. Now it will."

Mehta added, “Vitor built the technology that powered Nubank’s rise and is building a new AI platform to transform wealth management. Decade cuts fees that customers shouldn’t be paying, surfaces opportunities they would never have discovered on their own, and builds a portfolio around their actual goals. We believe Decade will become the place Brazilians trust with their financial lives, and we are thrilled to partner with them for many years to come.

Addressing Brazil’s Investment Gap

Although Brazil has become a global leader in digital financial infrastructure through innovations such as Pix and Open Finance, investment adoption remains limited. Decade aims to bridge this gap by combining AI-driven analysis with human expertise, helping clients make informed long-term financial decisions.

"Managing your own money is a second job," said Vitor Olivier, co-founder and CEO of Decade. "Perform it well, and you can achieve your dreams, build a family, take care of yourself and those around you. Perform it poorly and you'll be indebted and anxious, one disease away from bankruptcy; structurally unable to retire. Too many people are in the business of making you perform your second job poorly."

Expanding AI Financial Intelligence

Decade’s AI platform continuously monitors portfolios, financial activity, and market conditions while advisors provide strategic guidance and relationship management. The company believes this hybrid approach can deliver institutional-quality wealth management to a much broader audience.

"Even a year ago, it would have been impossible to build what we're building,” said Felipe Meneses, co-founder and Head of AI. “Financial services are complex by design and often monetized through asymmetry of information. AI collapses that asymmetry. Decade is AI-native from day one: agents that read every statement, monitor every position, and reason across your entire balance sheet, continuously. That level of attention used to be reserved for the ultra-rich. Now we can create an entire generation of millionaires."
