ARRW, an Egypt-based ride-hailing platform and the country’s first licensed mobility startup, has secured a $4 million investment from Tasheed Egypt to accelerate growth and strengthen its position in the local transportation market.

The new funding will be used to expand ARRW’s driver network, enhance platform infrastructure, and improve the customer experience. The company is also focused on scaling operations to meet growing demand for app-based transportation services across major Egyptian cities.
The investment supports ARRW’s long-term vision of building a safer, smarter, and technology-driven mobility platform tailored to local market needs.
Strengthening a Local Mobility Alternative
Founded by Ahmed Taalab, ARRW has built a customer base of more than 200,000 users and positions itself as a local alternative to international ride-hailing providers operating across the MENA region.
The company focuses on localized operations and regulatory compliance, offering transportation solutions designed specifically for Egyptian cities.

The investment comes as Egypt’s mobility sector continues to evolve through increasing smartphone adoption, urbanization, and demand for digital transportation services.
