Digitail, a leading provider of AI-driven practice management solutions for veterinary clinics, announced a $23 million USD funding round led by Five Elms Capital, with participation from existing investors Atomico, Partech, Byfounders, Gradient, and others. The funding will drive global expansion and accelerate advancements in AI for veterinary professionals and pet owners.

Founded in 2018 by Sebastian Gabor and Ruxandra Pui, Digitail was created to provide veterinary teams with modern, connected tools that reduce administrative tasks and enable more personalized pet care. The company’s mission centers on reimagining the veterinary workday through a unified operating system that improves collaboration, increases efficiency, and enhances care quality.

Sebastian Gabor, Founder and CEO of Digitail, stated, “Veterinary professionals are the backbone of pet care, yet they’ve long been underserved by disconnected, outdated tools. Our goal is to build the most comprehensive AI-native operating system to power the entire clinic, helping veterinary teams spend less time behind screens, see more patients, and get home on time. Partnering with Five Elms Capital gives us the resources and expertise to scale innovation and elevate every part of the customer experience.

Digitail’s cloud-based, all-in-one AI-native platform integrates scheduling, medical records, invoicing, client communication, inventory management, wellness plans, and a pet-parent app within a single system. Over 15 AI-driven workflows — including intelligent patient intake, AI-assisted SOAP note dictation, and automated medical record summaries — reduce administrative load while improving accuracy and care outcomes.

During the past year, Digitail more than doubled its customer base, now serving over 10,000 veterinarians and 3 million pet owners across independent clinics, multi-location practices, and mobile operations.

Reed Edwards, Principal at Five Elms Capital, commented, “From our first conversations with the Digitail team, it was clear we shared a belief that great software should empower people, not create more work. Digitail’s technology does exactly that for veterinarians and pet owners alike. We’re proud to back a team that’s redefining what’s possible in veterinary care and to help them accelerate their mission of giving every clinic the tools to deliver exceptional care at scale.

The new funding will support accelerated product innovation, expanded AI capabilities, and global scaling to enhance customer experience across all segments of veterinary care.
