M-Cube, through Videomobile, its division specialising in LED solutions, is a key player in the new digital transformation of Galleria Bombi, the longest LED gallery in Europe. The project brings together technology, art and Italian craftsmanship as part of the journey that led Gorizia and Nova Gorica to become European Capitals of Culture 2025. It is inaugurated today, 16 December 2025.

The project involves the complete regeneration of the gallery, transforming it from a simple pedestrian passage into an immersive and multisensory digital art experience known as DAG, unique in the world. The construction of the LED wall, which is 100 metres long and 9.25 metres wide, giving a total surface area of 925 square metres, represents an achievement of the highest technical and craft standards. With a 2.5 millimetre pixel pitch and a resolution of 40,000 by 3,700 pixels, the system delivers ultra high definition imagery, fully enveloping visitors in a digital environment of powerful visual and emotional impact.

The LED wall was installed by M-Cube with a total of 148 million pixels, more than the famous Las Vegas Sphere. The complexity of the curved structure, which follows the vault for more than 100 metres, required seamless integration between technological expertise and Italian craftsmanship, making it possible to resolve delicate architectural and installation challenges.

The entire infrastructure consists of 37,000 kilograms of self-supporting load bearing structures, independent from the gallery itself, secured with 6,000 structural bolts and 44,400 fixing screws connecting the cabinets to the structure. The system also includes 3,700 LED cabinets, 14,800 boards with nano coating and GOB treatment, 34 fibre converters, 267 CAT6 signal cables, 11,000 metres of CAT6 network cabling, 6,000 metres of optical fibre, 2,000 metres of power cables from sub panels to cabinets, 6,000 metres of 240 mm² cables from the substation to the main switchboard, 300 metres of electrical trunking and 300 metres of ventilation ducting. The infrastructure is managed by five professional workstations and twenty 4K video signals. Twelve specialised technicians worked on the installation for thirty consecutive days, reflecting the scale and complexity of the project.

The inaugural artistic content, created by world renowned digital artist Refik Anadol, will transform Galleria Bombi into a symbolic site of the European Capital of Culture, where innovation, creativity and local identity merge to deliver a one of a kind experience in Europe.

Manlio Romanelli, President of the M-Cube Group, said: “We are extremely pleased to have taken part in the creation of a project that brings together art and technology. After delivering thousands of digital installations around the world, being able to apply our expertise to such a meaningful work in our homeland territory has a value that goes beyond the material aspect and marks an important milestone in our journey.”

Focusing on the value this project brings to the local area, Leonardo Comelli, Commercial Director of M-Cube, added: “We are proud to be present in the territory with a project of this scale, which makes a concrete contribution to the celebration of Gorizia–Nova Gorica as European Capital of Culture 2025.”

Highlighting the technical commitment behind the intervention, Cristian Bragato, Chief Executive Officer of Videomobile, commented: “The installation in Galleria Bombi was a major technological challenge, addressed thanks to a background of twenty five years of research and development in the most advanced LED technologies.

Galleria Bombi, which will be open to the public free of charge from 16 December, is set to become a new symbol of the meeting point between culture and innovation, a place where technology becomes an artistic language and a tool for enhancing the urban heritage, projecting Gorizia towards a future increasingly connected to creativity and the digital world.
