Mio, a startup building an AI teammate that works directly inside Slack, has raised $2.2 million in pre-seed funding. The investment will support product development and expand the platform, which automates everyday work by integrating with more than 3,000 business tools.
AI Colleague for Everyday Work
Mio functions as a virtual colleague rather than a traditional assistant. The platform learns how teams operate, works across existing workflows, and proactively completes tasks inside Slack. Users can assign work through channels or direct messages, while Mio handles recurring tasks, analyzes information, and collaborates across engineering, product, customer success, and growth teams.
Expanding AI-Powered Productivity
The company reports that Mio saved its own team more than 130 hours in a single week. Early customers are already using the platform to analyze customer feedback, identify churn risks, optimize marketing campaigns, prepare meetings, and support decision-making. The new funding will help accelerate development as the company continues building AI designed to reduce repetitive work while supporting human teams.
