Overwatch AI, the aviation technology company behind the Wingman AI decision-support platform, has raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding to expand its airline operations technology. The round included Baobab Ventures, United Airlines Ventures, Pegasus Airlines Innovation Lab, Masia, and several aviation and AI angel investors.
AI Support for Airline Operations Teams
Wingman was built to simplify operational decision-making for pilots, dispatchers, OCC teams, cabin crew and ground staff. The platform allows airline teams to ask operational questions in natural language and receive sourced answers based on official documentation and live operational data.
The platform is already deployed across multiple airlines supporting more than 30,000 flights per month. According to the company, Wingman helps save up to 150 hours per employee annually, improves compliant decision-making by 4.6x and increases crew productivity by 6.6%.
Built for Safety-Critical Aviation Workflows
Unlike general AI tools, Wingman was designed specifically for aviation environments where trust, traceability and speed are critical. Every response is linked to verified operational documents and real-time airline data, helping teams make faster decisions during disruptions and daily operations.
Pegasus Airlines became one of the first carriers to deploy the platform in live operations and now joins as both investor and strategic partner.
Expansion Plans
The new funding will support hiring across engineering, product and aviation operations, expand integrations and operational use cases, and accelerate deployments with additional airlines worldwide.
