Rotomate, a Finnish AI company developing an AI-powered reliability assistant for industrial operations, has secured €2.1 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Kvanted, with participation from Robin Capital, Angel Invest, Accel’s scout program, and Business Finland. The investment will support product development, team growth, and expansion across European industrial markets.
Bringing AI to Industrial Reliability
Industrial facilities generate massive volumes of machine data, but a shortage of specialists often prevents timely analysis of critical issues. Rotomate addresses this challenge with an AI colleague that continuously analyzes operational data, maintenance history, and equipment conditions to deliver expert-level recommendations.
"Improving uptime and industrial reliability has an enormous potential in almost any industrial plant or factory, and it is bottlenecked not by data but by human attention. We built Rotomate to scale that expertise, so that every plant can act on the most up-to-date data around the clock," said Mikko Kuusisto, co-founder and CEO of Rotomate.
The platform goes beyond traditional monitoring alerts by providing detailed reports that explain the root cause of issues, recommended actions, and supporting reasoning. According to the company, the solution can reduce manual monitoring time by up to 83%.

Expanding Across Europe
Rotomate already works with major industrial companies including Metsä Group, SSAB, and Aurubis. Customer sites supported by the platform represent more than €35 billion in annual production value. The company plans to expand its engineering, product, and commercial teams while strengthening its presence across Northern and Western Europe.
